How SpinsPilot is funded, which links earn a commission and why a commission never changes a rating.

SpinsPilot is free to read because some of the casinos we list pay us a commission when a reader signs up through one of our links. This page explains who runs the site, how that money reaches us, which links earn it and why it never changes a score.

Who runs SpinsPilot

SpinsPilot is operated by PinnacleLabs OÜ (registration number 17360292), a company registered in Estonia, with its registered address at Katusepapi tn 6-502, Tallinn, 11412, Estonia. SpinsPilot is a review and comparison site. It is not a casino, it does not take bets and it never holds player funds.Using the site is covered by our terms and conditions.

This Canadian edition is written for players in Canada outside Ontario and Alberta. More about the site is on our about us page.

How SpinsPilot earns money

Many of the casinos we list run affiliate programs that we have joined. When you follow one of our links to a casino and open an account, the casino may pay us a commission. The commission comes from the casino, not from you, and you pay nothing extra because you used our link.

Affiliate agreements in online gambling usually take one of three forms, and ours follow them:

  • A one-time payment when a referred player opens an account and meets a condition the casino sets, such as a first deposit.
  • A revenue share: a percentage of the casino's net revenue from referred players over time, which in practice is a share of what those players lose.
  • A mix of the two.

We do not publish the amounts or name the programs, because they are commercial agreements, but you should know the relationship exists before you click.

Which links are affiliate links

A link is an affiliate link when it takes you from SpinsPilot to a casino's or sportsbook's own website, for example the Play buttons in our casino lists and on casino pages. Links that keep you on SpinsPilot, such as our reviews and guides, are not affiliate links, although the casino pages they lead to contain affiliate buttons. Links to regulators, governments and help services are never affiliate links.

In the page code, every affiliate link carries the attribute rel="sponsored", the standard way of telling search engines that a link is commercial. Readers cannot see that attribute, so every page also carries a short notice in its footer, and our reviews link to this page.

When you click an affiliate link, the casino or its affiliate platform records that you came from SpinsPilot, usually through a code in the link or a cookie. How we handle data is set out in our privacy policy.

Why a commission never changes a rating

Every casino gets a score out of 5, built from seven parts with fixed maximums: licence (1.2), Interac (0.8), Canadian dollar account (0.6), provinces (0.5), responsible gambling tools (0.6), support (0.5) and complaints (0.8). A casino earns points only for facts we can show from a named source. The full method is on how we rate casinos.

Commission is not one of the seven parts. A casino that pays us and a casino that does not are scored the same way, and no casino can pay for a higher score, a better review or a fact to be left out. Bonus size is not scored either, so a bigger offer does not lift a casino. When a licence cannot be verified, the page says so, whether or not we earn from that casino.

How offers are sourced

Offer details, such as bonus amounts, free spins, wagering requirements, minimum deposits and promo codes, come from the casinos' affiliate programs. Before an offer is shown, it is compared with the bonus terms on the operator's own site. If the two differ, the operator's terms apply and we correct our page. Offers change often, so read the casino's own terms before you deposit.

Our reviews are written from research, not first-hand play. We do not open accounts, deposit or withdraw at the casinos we rate. We read the operator's terms, cashier and help pages, the regulator's public register and, labelled as third-party, public complaint sites.

Corrections

Every casino page shows the date its facts were last checked. If you find a fact that is wrong or out of date, including an offer that does not match the casino's terms, tell us through our contact page or at hello@spinspilot.com. We check the source, correct the page and update its date, and if a fact behind the score has changed, we update the score too. We do not remove an accurate fact because a casino asks us to.

Who SpinsPilot Canada is for

SpinsPilot Canada is for adults in the eight provinces and three territories outside Ontario and Alberta. It is not intended for players in Ontario or Alberta. You must be 19 or older to gamble online in most of Canada, and 18 or older in Quebec and Manitoba.

Gambling should stay fun

We earn when readers sign up, which is one more reason to be plain about the cost. Casino games are built so the house comes out ahead over time. Set a budget before you play, use deposit limits and time-outs, and stop when it stops being fun. Our responsible gambling page lists free, confidential help lines for every province and territory, plus tools that block gambling sites and apps.
