The list in numbers
Data as of 21 October 2026, from our research on each casino's site and terms. On 20 and 21 October 2026 we checked the licence information in regulator registers and on the operators' sites.
- Licence: 23 of the 42 casinos show a licence on their own site or in a regulator's public register: 14 Curaçao, 6 Anjouan, 2 Tobique and 1 Kahnawake. For nine of them the printed licence term has passed and the register does not yet show a renewal. For the other 19 we could not verify a licence.
- Interac: 14 of the 42 casinos show Interac on their own site, in the footer or on a payments or help page. For the others we found it only on review sites or not at all.
- Canadian dollars: 18 casinos list CAD in their own terms, currency list or cashier. Three say in their terms or on their site that they do not offer it. For the rest, only review sites list CAD or the information is unclear.
- Provinces: the terms of four casinos refuse players in New Brunswick. The terms of five block NetEnt games in British Columbia, Manitoba and Quebec while still accepting players there.
Provincial regulation or offshore licence
Each Canadian province regulates online gambling itself. Most run their own crown sites, such as BCLC PlayNow in British Columbia and Loto-Québec, while Ontario (iGaming Ontario and the AGCO) and Alberta run private regulated markets, which is why this site does not serve them. The casinos on our list operate under licences from Curaçao, Anjouan, Kahnawake or Tobique, or show no licence we could verify. Canadian provincial regulators do not supervise these casinos and cannot resolve disputes with them.

One of the world's best-known online casino regulators is in Quebec. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission was set up on 10 June 1996 in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawà:ke, across the St. Lawrence from Montreal, and adopted its online gaming rules in 1999.
