Every way of paying an online casino from Canada trades something off: cost, speed, privacy, or whether the same method can bring your winnings back. This page puts the options side by side, shows how many casinos on our Canadian list name each one on their own site, and explains what to check before your first deposit and your first withdrawal.
We read the footer, payments page, help centre, homepage and terms of all 42 casinos on our list on October 20 and 21, 2026, and counted only what the casinos themselves show. The casinos below are for players outside Ontario and Alberta, 19+ (18+ in Quebec and Manitoba).
The methods at a glance
| Method | Deposits | Withdrawals | Casinos showing it on their own site (of 42) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interac e-Transfer | Yes | At many casinos, not all | 15 |
| Visa and Mastercard | Yes; a credit card deposit is usually a cash advance | Only where the casino can pay out to cards | 21 (15 by name, 6 as a card logo or "card") |
| Crypto | Yes | Confirmed by 7 of the 15 | 15 |
| E-wallets (MiFinity, Skrill, Neteller, MuchBetter and others) | Yes | At some casinos | 10 (MiFinity 8, Skrill 6, Neteller 4, MuchBetter 2) |
| Bank transfer | At some casinos | At some casinos | 9 |
| Prepaid vouchers (Paysafecard, Flexepin, Neosurf) | Yes | No, in the lists we read | 2 |
| Apple Pay and Google Pay | Yes | Not stated | 1 |
| PayPal | No casino on our list shows it | No | 0 |
A casino can appear in several rows. Counts are from the casinos' own pages, not their logged-in cashiers. Only Spinbara's payments page and Pribet's footer were clearly served for Canada; most others showed us an international view.
How we counted
Payment lists on review sites are rarely filtered by country, and they often still show methods that no longer exist. So for every brand we went to the casino's own site and read the footer logos, the payments page, the help centre, the homepage and the terms. A method counts when it appears in one of those places. A method listed only by review sites does not count, however many of them list it.
We did not open accounts or make deposits, so we saw no logged-in cashier. A logo shows that a casino advertises a method; it does not promise the method will be in your cashier, in Canadian dollars, for both deposits and withdrawals. Treat the counts as a starting point and check the cashier before you sign up.
Choosing a method
If you want the simplest route from your bank
Interac e-Transfer moves money from your own chequing account, you approve each payment in your online banking, and none of the banks we checked say they block it for gambling. Where a casino pays out by Interac too, it covers both directions. Our Interac e-Transfer guide has the steps, Autodeposit and the fees, and Interac casinos lists the 15 that show it.
If you are thinking of a card
A debit card with a Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard logo takes the money from your account. A credit card is different: every big bank that names casino charges in its cardholder agreement treats them as a cash advance, with a fee and interest from day one, and several banks say they may decline internet gambling payments. Many casinos also cannot pay out to a card. Our Canadian banks guide has each bank's rules.
If your casino does not take Interac
An e-wallet or crypto is the usual alternative, and both can work for withdrawals at the casinos that support them. Each adds a step: a second account with its own fees and ID checks for a wallet, and a trading platform, a network and price swings for crypto. The 15 casinos that show crypto are on our crypto casinos page.
If you want to keep your bank details private
Prepaid vouchers keep your bank and card away from the casino and cap what you can spend. They do not work for withdrawals at any casino on our list, so you will still need a bank, wallet or crypto route to get winnings out, and the casino will still verify who you are.
Deposits and withdrawals are two questions
The method you deposit with is not always the method you can withdraw to. Some of what we read on the casinos' own pages:
- Lollyspins lists Interac for deposits but not for withdrawals, where it names bank transfer, cards where available, Skrill, MiFinity, Jeton, eZeeWallet and crypto.
- Spinbara's Canadian payments page lists Skrill and bank transfer for withdrawals only.
- Needforspin's and Slotoro's terms say withdrawals go back to the method you deposited with.
- GGBet's payment policy says card deposits may be paid out by another method where card rules do not allow payouts.
- Prepaid vouchers are deposit only in every list we read.
Open the withdrawal side of the cashier before you deposit, not after you win.
Verification before your first withdrawal
Whatever you pay with, expect the casino to check who you are before it pays out: photo ID, proof of address and often proof that the payment method is yours. Spinbara's terms, for example, ask for "proof of ownership and transaction histories of the payment methods used", such as bank or card statements. Paying from an account in your own name avoids most delays. A payment from someone else's card, wallet or bank account can be returned, or hold up your withdrawal.
Send the documents early, before you request a withdrawal. Cover the middle digits of a card number where the casino allows it, and never send the security code on the back of a card.
Currency and fees
- Canadian dollars. Many casinos on our list offer CAD as an account currency, but some process payments in euros or US dollars behind the scenes. Check the currency on the payment screen. A conversion by your card issuer, wallet or the casino costs you on the way in and again on the way out.
- Your bank. Interac e-Transfer costs nothing to receive at RBC, CIBC and ATB, and up to $1.50 to send at some banks. A credit card deposit costs a cash-advance fee and interest.
- A wallet or voucher. Skrill and Neteller charge 1.75% to move money to your bank, with a minimum. Flexepin adds a purchase fee of $1.95 to $15.95. Paysafecard charges $2.50 a month on unused balance from the 19th month.
- Crypto. Trading platform fees or spreads when you buy and sell, plus a network fee on every transaction.
- The casino. Some operators charge their own deposit or withdrawal fee or set a minimum. That is in each casino's terms; we do not list per-brand figures on our payment pages.
Methods you should not see any more
- Interac Online was retired in 2024. Credit unions switched it off on May 31, 2024. It is not the same service as Interac e-Transfer, and a list that still shows it is out of date.
- InstaDebit has closed. Its last day for deposits was February 27, 2026, and withdrawals of remaining balances ran until April 30, 2026. Some review sites still list it for Canadian casinos.
- iDebit: no casino on our list shows it on its own site. We have not checked its current service, so this page does not cover it.
- PayPal is not closed, but its Canadian Acceptable Use Policy requires pre-approval for gambling, and none of our 42 casinos shows it.
Our payment guides
The guides in this Payments section go into each method in detail: Interac e-Transfer, Canadian banks, cards, e-wallets, crypto and prepaid vouchers. Each one lists the casinos on our list that show the method on their own site, using the same rule as this page.
Before you deposit
Pick the method before you pick the casino, and decide your budget before either. Set a deposit limit in your casino account before your first payment; your bank's daily limit is a ceiling, not a budget. Never borrow to gamble. Online gambling is for adults only: 19+ in most provinces, 18+ in Quebec and Manitoba. Free, confidential help for every province we cover is on our responsible gambling page. To compare casinos, see all casinos and how we rate casinos.

Frequently asked questions
Start with Interac e-Transfer if your casino offers it: the money comes from your own bank account, there is no cash-advance cost, and many casinos pay out the same way. If it is not available, a debit card, an e-wallet or crypto are the usual alternatives, each with its own costs. Avoid credit cards where you can, and check the withdrawal options before you deposit.
Often, but not always. Some casinos send winnings back to the deposit method, as Needforspin's and Slotoro's terms say. Others cannot pay out to the method you used: prepaid vouchers are deposit only everywhere we looked, card payouts depend on the casino, and Lollyspins lists Interac for deposits but not for withdrawals. Check the withdrawal side of the cashier before your first deposit.
To confirm that the card, wallet or bank account belongs to you before it sends money out. The terms we read allow casinos to ask for photo ID, proof of address and proof of ownership of the payment method, such as a statement or a photo of the card. Cover the middle digits of a card number where allowed, and never send the security code on the back.
Usually somewhere along the way. Your bank may charge to send an Interac e-Transfer, a credit card deposit carries a cash-advance fee and interest, wallets charge to move money to your bank, vouchers can carry a purchase or monthly fee, and crypto costs platform and network fees. Some casinos add their own fees, set in their terms. Check each step before you deposit.
Yes. Prepaid vouchers such as Paysafecard and Flexepin, e-wallets and crypto all keep your bank details away from the casino. The trade-off comes at withdrawal time: vouchers cannot receive payouts, wallets and crypto add their own accounts and fees, and the casino will still verify your identity, and often the payout account, before it pays you.
